I remember in the 90's there were a ton of tactical trainers that popped up teaching out dated material or non-applicable IPSC techniques. You really have to do your research before investing $600-$1000 and a couple thousand rounds on a training course.

I think an important thing to realize is you can be a great instructor but have flawed curriculum. An important part of any research on training is what is being taught, not necessarily who is teaching it. Focus more on the information being presented and less on the person standing in front.

I think this is serious. Everyone who is serious about his bussiness knows that knowledge is a powerful weapon, so, they invest a lot of time and money on training.
These people too, can recognize a good instructor or a good course when the are at it, but then, it may be too late.
I am always wary of how to present myself to miltary and LEO types, because I am not one of them. Some in my organization have or had military/LEO experience, they bring some of it to us.
I know I am a good instructor, at least I know my students are good, they have learnt all I taught them properly.
I am always open to learn that my techniques don't work in the real world, and then learn what works, but how else can I present myself to those that are in the line? I am sure that the training provided by Kombato is of top notch quality. How can I advertise to those that need it, in a way that is adequate and don't misrepresent me as a wannabe or worse?
