The biggest problem with this test, though, is that the original UCP was not picked on the basis of any test results. It’s a digitized/pixilated derivative of “urban track” with black removed. Urban track did poorly on tests, and the “black is bad” thinking is folk wisdom that does not stand up to testing, i.e., yes a black boot is bad b/c it sihouettes, but splotchy black, not so much. So even adding coyote doesn’t change that the two gray colors (one misleadingly called foliage green) are bad colors picked by Former Army General Chief of Staff Schoomaker because they looked cool and futuristic, not because the earlier testing thought they were good. Multicam and the earlier Desert All Over Brush did best. The whole thing is a farce and Schoomaker arrogantly ignored the Natick testing that did not pick his stupid UCP uniform.

What’s the point of having a sophisticated Natick testing lab and regime if the leadership will ignore it, ignore comments from the field, and ignore common sense?!?

Have you ever noticed that in futuristic science fiction movies the Army for that oppressive government always seem to have that “Grey” camo? Makes you wonder?
